The Gateway to the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture, is an urban centre along the Bruce Highway, just under an hour’s drive from the Brisbane CBD. It is considered the northern end of the Greater Brisbane metropolitan area and acts as a regional transport hub.
The suburb is located on the Caboolture River, connecting the Great Dividing Range along the D’Agular Highway and the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane along the Bruce Highway. Local suburbs include Morayfield, Wamuran, Elimbah and Burpengary East. To the east, Bribie Island Road links Caboolture to Ningi and Bribie Island. The region is popular with tourists and locals, and many interstate truck drivers travel the highways hauling supplies to northern Queensland.
