Australia’s newest airline Bonza will take airport advertising to greater heights! The value of airport advertising is set to increase as the “Allstralian” carrier creates opportunity for low-cost travel and provides greater access to regional locations, inevitably contributing to an increase in travelers country-wide. That means more eyes on Bishopp‘s airport advertising assets and more opportunities to get your brand seen.
The carrier will initially fly to 17 destinations, including the Sunshine Coast, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Cairns and the Whitsunday Coast. If you’re looking to expand your brand’s reach in any of the aforementioned airports, reach out to Bishopp today for more information about our airport advertising availability.
Bonza’s chief executive Tim Jordan predicts flights will start by the end of January, with fares starting from approximately $50 per hour of flight (information courtesy of ABC News).
Of the 27 proposed destinations Bonza will be starting with 17 routes being served by their Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 737 aircraft. Currently, 93% of these routes are not served by any airline and 96% of those that are have no low-cost carrier. We predict that where regional economies are constrained, opening up these new routes will stimulate those who haven’t been able to afford to travel in the past. Opportunities for leisure travel will be within closer reach and there will be more opportunity to engage required work force in regional locations.
The first flights will be on planes nicknamed Bazza, Shazza and Sheila. Maybe we can get our chook Baz to jump on board?
